The BKB is faster than you (me too), but not faster than Eric Tonkin (but not many are.)

Correct. I spoke w/Eric at the Greenbrier AMBC race. He said he's sticking with gears for now.
Eric's faster than ever...he won overall in the short course at Michaux Maximus in late April.
