Blue Collar Optimist

I used that phrase at the office today and immediately thought of my last post. What do I mean by it? Simply that I have to work at being optimistic. Today at work, a friend of mine elaborated to me what he thought the worst case scenario was for a situation our company is dealing with. I responded that I saw his point, but that it wasn't the worse case scenario. After I laid my worst case thoughts on the table, my friend responded with, "The Prince would be proud."

Nothing like a Niccolo Machiavelli reference at work.

How's this for a fiesty new schedule?

July 8. Manawa XC.
July 22. 12Hrs of Cedar Valley
July 29. 24Hrs of On Your Left (aka 9 Mile).
August 19th. Swanson NE State Championships
September 2. 24Hrs of Seven Oaks
September 23. Indian Cave Marathon

August seems a bit barren. I wonder what I missed.

Men judge generally more by the eye than by the hand, for everyone can see and few can feel. Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are.
Niccolo Machiavelli, The Prince

August = Afton

I would do Afton! Awesome race!

FYI...not sure if the Cedat Valley 12 will happen. The guy heading it up moved out of town, and the rest of the team seems less than interested in producing it. Only time will tell.

Far be it from me to comment, as I'm a mere non-enduro mortal who just rolled over to your blog from another blog, but I think you're missing hanging out by the pool time, cupcake eating time and your gene that detects pain. (Translation: I'm impressed by you and your cronies.)
