Strange day today. The long road start put the three one gears at or near the back from the start so it was ketchup. Had a blast though and that's the beauty of cross. Mix it up. Both days were of the "lose ground on the road and gain it back off" variety. It's not like I am contending for anything so I just tried to peg it as hard as I could, ride smoothly and see what happened.
Flew the BKB kit today. Went Balls Deep. It's all good.

Yeah, I'm beginning to wonder about this whole cross thing. I like to suffer as much as the next guy, but this is the OFF-SEASON, for the love of pete. After Iceman, I just can't seem to push hard.
I actually looking forward to some long, SLOW rides...

I use so many gears when I race cross
I do not race well
but I definitely use gears
yet
I run so many of the run ups that elite ride
that going single may be less of a disadvantage for me
but
right now I lack the frame for such a project
just got a warranty on a Jamis Nova
but
want it built up nice
and
with gears
