Moderation...

... is masterbation.

Considering a fixed gear project of sorts. Niner SIR. Fixed. Mary Bars. Why? I need a New Kind of Kick.

Victory salutes to Mr. 24 and Paddy*Naomi.

So, if you're considering a suspension fork for a 29er, what's your choice?
------
Clarification. The suspension isn't in regard to the fixie. It would be used in solo 24hr situations only.

I'm with Mod, there really isn't a choice though. You could go with a Marzocchi which isn't nearly as stiff, takes way longer to get dialed, and you'd invariably lose the adaptor to pump it up in about 17 hours. Or there's the Winwood fork that you would promptly send back to me because of all the oil shooting all over your garage floor as you leave for your first ride.

2.3 up front with 18psi!

You're hands are still f'd up from 9 mile. Think about that and then get a Reba.

WTB is comin' out wit dat fatty! 2.55" of air suspendo, brudda!

If'n ya gots to getcher boing on, Rebas are relatively cheap, and quite reliable.

Qwicther belly akin' an getcher self a carbonius forkage in a rigid flavor. White, Bontrager, On One, or Pace should do it.

Midge bar: You owe it to yer fine self!

the maverick sc32 is a great choice, especially if you take the time to tune the damper for your weight/riding style.

back-to-back with my reba, it's noticably stiffer both front-to-back, and also in corners. the 41mm offset also feels better on my dos niner than the 38mm offset on the reba.

i'm keeping both forks, but am currently riding the sc32. i just made some changes to the shim stack in the damper to get its high speed damping moderated (less spikey) without taking away its composure everywhere else. so far, so good.
