Closing out the weekend's mileage didn't prove as easy a time as I would have thought. I went from 'tired but fine' while spending some time with Mr. Avey to the classic head down and slowly rolling the cranks around solo. As I think is common, my mind wandered over to thoughts of food and anything warm started sounding good. Cheeseburgers, fries, coffee and scones, dominated above all else. For a while, only the thought of that chilled to the bone restart to ride home kept me from stopping. I played a little mental tic-tac-toe like this for an hour before arriving back at the ranch. No cheeseburgers, fries or scones, but I did fire up the espresso machine. With Ouchita just around the corner, I'm ready to recover and do it again next weekend.
