Craig Gordon - Wrecked himself at "Worlds" to bring down the reigning king, Mr. Chris Eatough.Mark Hendershot - To quote Joe P yet again, "old, bold, lewd and tattooed."
Dave Harris - Killed it at the KTR. Got folks riled up regarding 26 vs. 29. Check out his 2006 Visualized.
Nat Ross - If he's in it, he's in the top five. His CyclingNews journal tells the story.
Harlan Price - Won the National Ultra Endurace Series. 20th at the Ruta. Rocks the IF and hangs with Elk.
Matt Wills - Never met a long ride he didn't like. Kanza finisher. G-Ted Death Ride aristocrat. Local Ruler.
Lynda Wallenfels - My recommendation is to visit Lynda's blog and look down the left side. You'll notice a lot of this: 1st, 1st, 1st....
Rich Dillen - Viking on parade. TR SS. "Worlds" Victory. Nominations in every category.

Crap......Snob, yer killin' me with this. Can't we all just hand em a beer and call it good?
No?
Okay, forced with a pick I'm going with Rich Dillen, but only because his write ups after the fact are priceless. But I'm not voting willingly......all these peeps get my deepest respect.
Dillen
C. Gordon
Gonna Have to go with Dave h. Or LW on this one both so fit and fast!
Got to go LW even though Gordon deserves it too. Ride of the year but Lynda just had an amazing season!
Of course there isn't a single person on the list that's not deserving...
After reading an article about the 24 Hour Worlds and the subsequent hospitalization after the race...I'd have to vote for the guy that beat Eatough....Craig Gordon.
Gordon, hands down. I didn't think you could bike yourself to death until I read his story. Now I believe.
as much as I love MW, I gotta go with Craig Gordon on this one. What he did was flat out amazing...
i appreciate your recognition but i'm totally outgunned in both these awards. i sure like riding.
you know harlan and elk?
those fuckers get around...
(sda sent me.)
As much as I like Dickey's posts, Gordon's feat was.....yikes! So CG, but anybody who does 12/24 solo gets my respect.
I originally went with Gordon weeks ago, but I feel differently now. So as not to clog up Esnob's comments section I posted up about it here:

I'm honored to be included in such a list, but I feel everybody listed is amazing in their own particular, unhhh... how do you say it?
Idiom sir?
Right, idiom.
When I told my girlfriend about Craig Gordon winning at nearly all costs, she said, "And you are impressed by that?"
I said, "Yeah, think of how much suffering he was willing to endure."
"To win a race, he put himself in the hospital?"
"Well, yeah, but it's not about the race," I muttered.
So, what is it about? Not that my opinion is worth anything, but I'm going with someone whom I have never met but says he sure likes riding. So, my vote is for MW.
CG...I saw what he did and that was impressive. It's not like he knew he was killing himself, but it had to hurt like hell.
As his pit guy tried to give him a jacket during the night when it was 40 something degrees "if I need that then I'm going too slow..." and so the race was won.
